A big THANK YOU to our Carpool Takeover volunteers!  It was cold and rainy last Friday, but you all handled it like champs!  Be on the lookout for more Carpool and Recess Duty Takeover opportunities in April.

Thank you to everyone who donated snacks and drinks to stock the school Wellness Room.  We have been able to provide snacks for the last three weeks and are able to continue through April because of your generous donations.  The teachers and staff have been visiting the Wellness Room more often and are enjoying the snacks!  

Join Hillside staff for a Parent University on preparing for the Georgia Milestones on April 12th from 5:30-6:30 pm. This is designed for parents of 3rd-5th grade students and will cover the layout of the test as well as answer any questions. See Dr. Dumas' newsletter, Pawprints, to register! 

Did you know that Fulton County Schools is a Charter System? Charter system status allows Fulton County flexibility from many one-size-fits-all state education requirements and supports our schools in developing strategies to support the unique needs of their students.

School Governance Councils are an integral component of Fulton's charter system. School Governance Councils, or SGCs, are responsible for setting and monitoring the strategic direction of the schools.  

SGC's are made up of nine voting members; 3 elected parents or guardians, 2 elected teachers, 2 appointed community members, and 2 appointed school employees. This year, Hillside has 2 parent/guardian spots open!
